@Reporter:Could you please send us a screenshot of error you are seeing when uninstalling Chromium. Firstly exit all instances of chromium and then try uninstalling it.

Seeing your chrome version as 58.0.3029.110 which is outdated. Please upgrade it to latest. You can download build from https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel.

Thanks!

It sounds like a piece of software force-installed Chromium on your computer. If you can't find it in the "Programs and Features" control panel, you can try one of the following commands to uninstall it (in all cases, replace W.X.Y.Z with the actual version you find):

"%LOCALAPPDATA%\Chromium\Application\W.X.Y.Z\Installer\setup.exe" --uninstall

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Google\Chrome\Application\W.X.Y.Z\Installer\setup.exe" --system-level --uninstall

If you can't find Chromium's setup.exe in either of those locations, figure out where it's installed and delete the directory tree. This will leave behind some registrations. If you wish to get rid of them, I suggest you download a recent Chromium snapshot and install/uninstall it so that it can clean itself up properly. For example, download this:

https://www.googleapis.com/download/storage/v1/b/chromium-browser-snapshots/o/Win_x64%2F551626%2Fmini_installer.exe?generation=1524050836547719&alt=media

and run it to install Chromium, then find Chromium in "Programs and Features" control panel and uninstall it.
