Mm... it seems to only happen on this specific website (local dev). What could cause it to get stuck?

Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 65.0.3325.162 using Windows 7 and Windows 10 with steps mentioned below.

1. Launched chrome, navigated to chrome://version and opened devtools sources >> Selected some content and opened search and pasted -- Seeing search result.
2. Checked on Images page with same steps and able to see search results without any problem.Attaching screencast for reference.

@Reporter: Please check the video and let us know if we miss anything. Does this happen on resetting devtools to default? Does this happen on any JS file or JS file added from external Filesystem? Any further help on reproducing the issue would help in further triaging.

Thanks!

One thing to try and get some information to work with is, undock DevTools. Then with the DevTools window focused, press `ctrl + shift + I` to open the devtools on the devtools. Check the console for any errors when this occurs.

To undock DevTools, the overflow menu (three dots) on the right by the close button. Click that, and one of the layout buttons at the top of that menu will undock it (should be the first one.)
I have this error in the console when I do what's suggested in #c7

Re-tested the issue and is not reproducible from TE end. As per comment#11 issue is already Assigned. Hence removing Needs-Bisect label.

Thanks!
It seems to be a problem when it gets to angular-ui-router.js.map

It tries to parse some string as object? (See Bug.png)

Currently using v1.0.3 of https://github.com/angular-ui/ui-router

Hope this helps!

Updating to ui-router v1.0.15 (latest version) seems to fix the issue.
This looks like its called by an invalid sourcemap. I'm working on improving our source map parsing so it doesn't break search.
