1. Enable with chrome://flags/#omnibox-tab-switch-suggestions.
2. Type something in the omnibox that matches the title or URL of a page open in another tab.
3. You should see a button on the right end of the result view that says "Switch to open tab". Clicking that button should focus that tab and, if the current tab is an NTP, closes the tab you did the search in.
Note:
- It's not guaranteed that matching input will bring up a tab search suggestion. That page has to be considered a relevant match independent of a tab being open with the page in it. So you may need to type a longer input that matches more of the page URL or title.
- If the suggestion is a keyword search suggestion, that will suppress the tab switch button.
Tab switch suggestions not appearing with chrome://flags/#omnibox-tab-switch-suggestions in either Enabled or Button states.
