Ping. This appears to be a big regression in media playing time.
The media start is delayed by 100ms because of this change.

beccahughes@ has been working on improving performances of the new media controls. The indicators are already going down and not so far from baseline.

These look like they are all back down to baseline now so marking as fixed.
