dublicate bookmarks and dashboard way off with synced bookmark number

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.146 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: There rly isn't a step by step. It happens during a normal workday, nothing special. What is the expected behavior? No dublicate or old bookmarks that are randomly insert to my bookmark folders and a correct number of synced bookmarks in google dashboard. What went wrong? Sometimes very old Bookmarks are suddenly added to my bookmark folders. My googledashboard with all the synced data I have, tells me that I have 31 bookmarks syned... I have 300+. I deleted the data from the server. Before that it listed 54.I also deleted all the bookmarks in iCloud and every bookmark on all my devices, nothing worked so far. The first Time this error occured was with Chrome Version 64. Did this work before? Yes 63 Chrome version: 65.0.3325.146 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version:

Unable to reproduce the issue on chrome reported version 65.0.3325.146 using windows-7 with steps mentioned below: 1) Launched chrome reported version and "signed in" into chrome from chrome://settings 2) All bookmarks got synced, didn't observed any duplicate bookmarks added to bookmarks folder Observations: Tested the issue on Windows-10, after "signed in" into browser observed the bookmarks after sometime, didn't observed any duplicate bookmarks in bookmarks folder. @Reporter: Please find the attached screen cast for your reference and let us know if we missed anything in reproducing the issue, provide your inputs on it which helps us in triaging the issue in better way. This isn't the problem at all, bookmarks god synced for me too, the issue I have is, that during a day chrome ads the bookmarks again. He dublicated whatsapp web bookmark in this very moment. I can't give a step by step info and can't do a video either, it is an anoying bug for me and I have to delete and import my bookmarks three times a day. I have the feeling, that google saved old bookmarks for me, I renamed a few and after some time, the name changed back.

Here are the infos the google dashboard has for me. The marked spots are my number of synced bookmarks and the number of open tabs. A Huge difference to the real numbers. I have on all my devices 6 tabs open and way more than 37 bookmarks, i guess 300+

I see that the number for browser history is also totaly wrong. Only 16 pages in my history? good try ;)
