Gesture typing on keyboard not working when in address bar of chrome

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 10323.52.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/65.0.3325.148 Safari/537.36
Platform: 10323.52.0

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Switch to tablet mode to enable virtual keyboard
2. Select the address bar of chrome
3. Try to gesture type

What is the expected behavior?
Gesture typing works everywhere else so far, just not in the URL input, address bar of chrome.

What went wrong?
Gesture typing didn't work.
