Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3368.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open cmd.exe. 2. Open notepad.exe or another text editor to compare the pasting. 3. Open any page in Google Chrome with textarea field. 4. Select a block with extra empty space in cmd.exe, copy with menu or mouse click. What is the expected behavior? 5. Paste into notepad.exe: only visible text from cmd.exe is pasted. In other browsers like Firefox, the result is the same. What went wrong? 6. Paste into Google Chrome: visible text from cmd.exe is pasted with extra data, usually a gibberish, but often some chunks of directory listings. Did this work before? Yes Not sure, some weeks ago this was OK. Chrome version: 67.0.3368.0 Channel: canary OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: 29.0.0.117 66.0.3359.22 dev is also affected for now. I am not sure if this is a possible security break: unexpected chunks of directory listings is a bit scary artifact. See gif with some described attempts.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Opened cmd.exe. 2. Opened notepad.exe to compare the pasting. 3. Opened a page in Google Chrome with textarea field i.e pasted in a text field by navigating to chrome->3 dots menu->help->report an issue. vsemozhetbyt@ - Could you please check the attached screen cast and please let us know if anything missed from our end. Thanks...!!

Screen cast seems valid, thank you. Some more checks from my end: 1. The issue remains with all the extensions toggled out. 2. The issue remains with all the options in chrome://flags/ reset to defaults. 3. The issue remains with cmd.exe code page set to UTF-8 or cp-1252. 4. No clipboard watching/editing utilities mess with clipboard. Let me know if I can check anything else. I had not changed any significant things in my OS before the issue appeared some days ago.

1. I've run a fresh profile like: "C:\Users\vmb\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome SxS\Application\chrome.exe" --user-data-dir=j:\temp\test-profile
2. I've opened cmd.exe and type "echo 123"
3. I've selected this command and its output and copied this.
4. I've opened "report an issue." and pasted there.
5. I've got in the text area this data with unexpected file listing chunks (seems like part of PATH env variable):
C:\Windows\System32>echo 123
123
C:\Windows\System32>
dows;.;C:\Python27\;C:\Python27\Scripts;C:\Program Files\Broadcom\Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter\Driver;C:\Windows

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-7 using latest canary #67.0.3371.0 as per comment #12. Observed that visible text from cmd.exe did not get paste with unexpected file listing chunks. As the issue is not reproducible from TE-end. Hence, removing the Needs-Bisect label and requesting someone from UI>Browser team to please help us in looking into the issue. Thanks...!!
