No Connection to mobile data via Sim Card

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.119 Safari/537.36 Platform: 10176.76.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. enter sim card 2. Try to connect to a mobile network 3. What is the expected behavior? Sim Card should connect to mobile data, allowing portable use of device whilst connected to 4G signal What went wrong? Chromebook constantly attempts to connect. "Connecting" message displayed for around a minute before a "No Network" message appears and process repeats. Sim Card has been tested and works fine in other devices Did this work before? Yes Early version of 63*. Not sure specifically but worked perfect before then. All chromebook using sim cards stop working around November of last year (2107) Chrome version: 64.0.3282.119 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: 28.0.0.161 This issue is affecting all HP Chromebook 14 G3 models.

Issue 813126 seems to be the same/similar to this problem "After the upgrade to chromeOS 63.0.3239.140 I couldn't connect over the mobile network (3G/4G)." "Finally I reverted to chromeOS 62.0.3202.97 and I could again connect over the mobile network." The above comment from issue 813126 tallies up with the version of chrome that started causing issues for myself also |
