Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.119 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: Not a problem. It is a feature request, I don't know how to request a feature so I made a bug report. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Chrome seems to play any audio at maximum level. It would be much better if all audio levels was set to 25% and if the user desires, the audio level can be increased by the user. There should be a "Universal Browser Audio Level (UBAL)" where all tabs check before playing any audio. Even videos when played, should check the UBAL and set the level accordingly. Did this work before? N/A Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 64.0.3282.119 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Contents of chrome://gpu: I like the new feature "Mute Tab" but every time, I am jumped by a sudden loud sound popping from a new website I visit. I don't want to disable all audio for all websites, having a UBAL is much easier.

I used a headset and when suddenly one of the tabs starts playing a video at 100%, I realized that there needs to be a standard for all web-players to follow by setting the audio level at a desired number. This number should be controlled by the user. |
