Spelling red underlines sometimes don't mark misspelled words completely

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Navigate to crbug.com/new
(2) Type "sdf sdf sdf sdf sdf sdf sdf sdf sdf sdf."
(3)

What is the expected result?

Each "sdf" is fully marked.

What happens instead?

Some "sdf" are not fully marked. The RU ends in the middle under "f". See attached screenshot.
