Intermittent problem with DevTools>Editing CSS in Console

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.186 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. I was following the Plural Sight course on using the DevTools.
2. Opened DevTools.
3. Clicked on Styles Panel.
4. Clicked on selector {} area where I wanted to add an element.
5. Typed in "background" and pressed enter.

What is the expected behavior?
Moves to value part of entry.

What went wrong?
Entire entry disappeared.  It didn't matter whether I pressed enter or tab, or even clicked.

The problem stopped after refreshing the screen.

Sounds like you were using a local html file in which case it's  issue 814937  which was fixed in 66.0.3356.0 and merged to 65.0.3325.105.
Try updating your Chrome 64 to the current stable version which is 65.
Yes, I was working on a local file.  I have updated Chrome.  Thanks - hopefully, that's it!

Marking this issue as WontFix as per comment #2, as the issue seems to be fixed on the latest Chrome Stable.

Please feel free to raise a new bug if any issues are observed on the latest Chrome builds.
