2D color picker pop-up appears in VR browsing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to http://opensource.perlig.de/tdi/examples/html5form.html
(2) Enter Chrome VR
(3) Expand the "Special text controls" section.
(4) Click on the color drop down picker.

What is the expected result? The 2D UI should be blocked.

What happens instead? The 2D UI appears, breaking the VR experience. See screenshot.

Yep. And that's been fixed and merged back. Confirmed that this is fixed in canary.
