problems with getting an API platform and process....

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Fork a thread of code with missing syntax
2. Then in an anmature struggle try all the wrong way to fix it.
3. After API getts dugged down ask the wrong questions on help fixing.

What is the expected behavior?
To process slowly only to eventually stop operating and then become bugged down and reported...

What went wrong?
Didnt take the proper stepps in taking other developers advice and not pulling cocorrect repositories for code...

I think it would help, being a beginner, to have appropriate tools and resources...😀
