Hi. Microsoft recently fixed a bug in Windows that caused updates to fail with this error (see issue 749189 ). Could you try refreshing chrome://help now to see if an update succeeds? If not, please check Task Manager or Process Explorer for stray "setup.exe" processes. If you find one that cannot be killed, then you are running into the same problem. Only a system restart will resolve the issue for the moment.
Now the logos aren’t showing up anymore because of this.

As there is no response/Feedback from the reporter from so long time on comment#3/7 hence closing this issue and marking it as Won't fix.

@Reporter: Please feel to raise a new issue if there are any issues with chrome.

Thanks!
