Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.167 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. No extensions. 2. Many drop down boxes across the web allow focus via mouse (on desktop) but do not drop down. 3. Once focus is on, you can still use keyboard arrows to navigate through options. What is the expected behavior? Drop down properly. What went wrong? Drop down simply doesn't drop down. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 64.0.3282.167 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: I've seen this for years across dozens of pcs and chrome versions, I've seen bug reports that were closed out, and one instance where it was fixed by turning off touch events (change from auto to disabled on desktop). However touch events is off now and I'm still in 2018 running into many many drop downs that simply don't work.

Other sites showing same issue https://www.thecalculatorsite.com/finance/calculators/loancalculator.php https://www.citizensbank.com/financial-calculators/enhanced-loan-calculator.aspx https://www.onlineloancalculator.org/ https://www.wellsfargo.com/personal-credit/rate-and-payment-calculator/ actually at this time I"m having a harder time finding a drop down that *doesn't* exhibit this behavior than does.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10 using chrome latest stable #64.0.3282.186 and latest canary #67.0.3361.0. Attached a screen cast for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Navigated to http://www.calculator.net/loan-calculator.html and https://www.thecalculatorsite.com/finance/calculators/loancalculator.php. 2. Clicked on drop down. 3. Drop down worked properly as expected. koporto@ - Could you please check the issue on latest stable #64.0.3282.186 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Thanks...!!

I"ve resolved it with a chrome flags reset to defaults. the only flag I ever touched was touch events api auto --> disabled. however on each of my affected computers, the reset default fixed the issue for that session at least. I'll close this issue and assume an extension somehow changed a flag that caused the issue, and didn't "unset" when disabling extensions. Unfortunately I didn't compare before/after flags to see which one may have caused it. all extensions are definitely disabled for each affected computer though. Thank you.

As per comment#6 from the reporter, the issue has been fixed, hence closing it and marking it as won't fix. Thanks! |
