calling textarea.focus scrolls the textarea out of view

Reported by amirjan...@gmail.com, Feb 28 2018

Issue description

Chrome Version : 64.0.3282.186
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Other browsers tested:
     Safari: OK
    Firefox: OK
      IE 11: OK

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.open the attached html file
2.scroll down to colored divs containing textareas
3.click on the div
javascript code focuses the textarea, cursor of which is not visible

What is the expected result?

- textarea remains on the screen

What happens instead of that?

- chrome scrolls the page to the top.

Please provide any additional information below.
 - This issue is partially mitigated by the addition of preventScroll option (thanks for implementing that!) but there are some rare cases when scrolling is needed
