Flashing an upstream kernel prevents user from logging in

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Flash any upstream kernel on a chrome OS platform
2. Try to sign in with a google account.

What is the expected behavior?
Successfully login through a google account on a Chrome device. 

What went wrong?
Unable to login after flashing latest upstream kernel. Throws the user back to the login screen.
