This is a new feature, poorly described.

The Acer R11 Chromebook has the Power button on the right face of the device and a Lock screen button at F12. With this device the new key combination is awkward in tablet mode, even if it would work properly.

If this feature is limited to specific models of Chromebook with 360 degree hinge, there needs to be clarification.

Can you be more specific on what the bug it is?

Screenshot should work in tablet mode with power button and volume down key pressed together.

Comment 5 by psdae...@gmail.com, Mar 30 2018

warx@chromium.org: See #1-#3 of the original post and the Comment 1.
The feature does not work for the specific platform and release. This may be due to the specified platform having separate Power and Lock buttons.

Considering comment #1, I think it is a WontFix?

It shall not be related to lock button on keyboard. And I remembered cyan has side power button, just like all other convertible devices.

warx@chromium.org: See #1-#3 of the original post and the Comment 1.
The feature does not work for the specific platform and release.

This may be due to the specified platform having separate Power and Lock buttons, it may be due to the physical keyboard bein, or it may be due to the physical keyboard being disabled when in tablet mode, it may be due to the feature being poorly described, or more likely, the feature wasn't tested on every platform.

Comment 8 by psdae...@gmail.com, Mar 30 2018

The feature is described as being for convertible mode Chromebooks, without qualification. The volume down button is on the physical keyboard and disabled in tablet mode.

Comment 9 by warx@chromium.org, Mar 30 2018

Which platform? -> It said it was cyan.
Which release? -> M64 should support that
Lock button -> I don't think lock button works in tablet mode, as keyboard is disabled.

So what is the question again? Power button + volume down in tablet mode doesn't work on cyan?

Comment 10 by psdae...@gmail.com, Mar 30 2018

The question is "Why are features announced so poorly?"

Comment 11 by warx@chromium.org, Mar 30 2018

hmm, I don't realize cyan doesn't have side volume keys : /
For cyan, is there some other way to do a screenshot while in tablet mode?

The Acer R11 does not have side-mounted volume buttons, so there is no way to take a screenshot.

Please consider adding the screenshot feature to the power button longpress menu.

What about tablet-mode power button menu?
