Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.167 Safari/537.36 Platform: ASUS Chromebox CN60 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Click on the time area in the bottom right to open the menu. 2. Click on the icon next to the volume slider to open the input/output audio video settings 3. CLOSE the window out 4. Go back and repeat the process again -- the second time you go back the input/output settings menu does not properly open. You have to sign out or reboot machine What is the expected behavior? The input/output menu should open up every time the same What went wrong? The SECOND time you try to open the input/output menu, only one small white box appears with the header line "AUDIO". It's like the menu is cutoff or hidden below the screen. It seems to occur pretty consistently. It happened on 3 different machines on a recent update in the last 2 weeks. Did this work before? Yes Unknown -- issue only appeared in last few weeks. Chrome version: 64.0.3282.144 Channel: n/a OS Version: Flash Version: The issue occurred at the same time as a 3rd USB based monitor bug appeared (in another report note).

See the attached image -- the ERROR is showing in bottom right where it is only saying "AUDIO" but there should be a whole input/output selection option. NOTE: The bug seems to occur even if you don't change any of the input output settings -- you just needed to open the window and close it to occur. It happened consistently.

I took at look at the link for bug #792673 -- this seems to be exactly what is happening to us.

Yes, this is a dup of bug #792673 , which is fixed in R65 but not merged back to R64 by decision.

When will R65 be pushed out to Chrome Devices? It is problematic as we can't open the menu to select input/output without rebooting. Thanks, -John

#9, The work around of the issue is: Before clicking any device setting detail UI, open the system tray UI, click on volume bar, then open the audio details UI, it should work. |
