Reported by t.targe...@gmail.com, Feb 22 2018

Issue description

Hello Google, I would like to report a tracking system in a school chromebook that allows the screens to be looked upon on a website and that allows other people block and unblock, close tabs open tabs, and much more with. The version is a chromebook(hp).

Summary: Security: Chromebook tracking system (was: Security: )
Can you please provide more information about what exactly you're referring to? Do you have screenshots or URLs or steps to reproduce this behavior?

There are various Chrome extensions that provide functionality similar to what you've described.
Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
To expand on comment 1: EDU typically force-installs extensions that implement the described functionalities into the user profiles of their users. We restrict the ability to do so to only user profiles that belong to their organization, i.e. personal gmail accounts (if allowed to log in) should not be affected. Same for guest sessions.

Given we haven't received clarification, I'll close this now. Happy to reopen if more information is provided that indicates there's an actual security bug.
