Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Set up LBS as per https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/3019558?hl=en&ref_topic=3062034 2. Set up www.bbc.co.uk as a site that should be opened in IE using gpedit, ran gpupdate /force 3. Navigated to www.bbc.co.uk 4. www.bbc.co.uk opened in Chrome What is the expected behavior? www.bbc.co.uk should open in IE, not Chrome What went wrong? From searching, found that ie_bho_log.txt may have useful info. It appears there is an error: [info] : core\browser_switcher_core.cc:471 : Loading cache from : C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Google\BrowserSwitcher\cache.dat [*ERROR!*] : core\browser_switcher_core.cc:451 : Confing file could not be loaded! [info] : core\browser_switcher_core.cc:605 : Loading IE Site List cache from : C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Google\BrowserSwitcher\sitelistcache.dat [info] : core\browser_switcher_core.cc:453 : No IE Site List found or file can't be read. [info] : core\browser_switcher_core.cc:461 : BrowserSwitcherCore::Initialize C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE (at the very least there's a typo in the ERROR line! Confing should be Config.) WebStore page: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/legacy-browser-support/heildphpnddilhkemkielfhnkaagiabh Did this work before? No Chrome version: 63.0.3239.132 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version:

This might be related to managed environments. Could someone from Inhouse enterprise team please have a look at this issue. Thanks!

I need some further information to be able to help here. You mentioned you ran IE to enable the BHO which is fine but have you actually run Chrome at least once with the extension installed after you set the policy? The policy is read only from inside the Chrome extension and written to the cache through it. Do you observe the policy you set if you open chrome://policy in Chrome? If you are in Chrome and open the BBC page does it open IE and then immediately bounce back to Chrome or does it stay in Chrome altogether?
