Retry and Debug buttons stopped working in swarming UI

When clicking "debug" or "retry", a message pops up in the bottom left of my screen:
Request failed. Reason: [object Object]

I'm able to retry that task.  maruel@, might this be a permissions-change related thing?

At the very least, the error code should be improved. :)
