Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 64.0.3282.167 using Ubuntu 14.04 with the below mentioned steps.
1. Launched Chrome
2. Installed Hangouts extension
3. Navigated to https://support.sheetgo.com/hc/en-us
4. Clicked on +1 (914) 418-4741
We are able to see a pop-up after clicking the above number. Attaching the screen cast of the same.

@Reporter: Could you please have a look at the screen cast and let us know if we have missed anything in the process of reproducing the issue. Any further inputs from your end may help us.

@vamshi, thanks! I tried a different profile and could reproduce your steps. It shows the "xdg-open" window. But when I click on it, it doesn't actually use Hangouts to call this number. Nothing happens when clicking on it.

Checked the issue again on other chrome versions in the process of triaging the issue further, Upon opening the page with the URL provided https://support.sheetgo.com/hc/en-us we could not see the contact number on the web page. It is quite surprising as it was seen earlier. Attaching the screen cast of the same.

@Reporter: Could yo please have a look at the screen cast and let us know whether the contact number is shown on navigating to the URL.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 17.10 using chrome stable version #65.0.3325.181.

Attached a screen cast for reference.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue.
------------
1. Navigated to https://www.zendesk.com/contact/
2. Clicked on numbers present in the page.
3. Observed that a pop up appeared as open xdg-open?

As the issue is reported on fedora 27. Hence, forwarding the issue to inhouse team for further triaging of the issue.

Actually can confirm that I get to see the same xdg-open pop-up when using a brand new user profile. Let's close as invalid, I suggest.
