Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open a tab (in portrait mode) 2. Focus on it 3. Rotate device to landscape 4. Defocus tab 5. (While still defocused) Rotate device back to portrait What is the expected behavior? The tab should resize (like when you are unfocusing tab and it automatically resizes the tab based on window size) What went wrong? The tab size will remain same as it was in landscape mode Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 64.0.3282.167 Channel: stable OS Version: 11.2.5 (15D60) Flash Version:

@fakhim.farsad@gmail.com: It would help if you can upload a video or provide a test URL that reproduces the issue. It's not clear to me what you mean by "focus on it (the tab)" in step 2. Thanks!

Srikanth, do you think you understand what this bug report means?

I didn't get it either. We need to get more info from user. (May be its something similar to http://crbug/773129. This happens with another couple of other websites as well.)

Thanks for the video. Looks like a TabSwitcher bug.

Is this a bug? It looks like the stackview is entered from landscape mode, so the snapshot taken is in landscape. It looks like expected behavior to me. Please clarify if this is not the case.

The snapshot looks normal if we enter stackview from portrait mode. The snapshot also look normal if we follow the same steps on Safari. Ed, is this something that can be fixed with new tab switcher UI?
,

To me this is expected behavior because the snapshot was taken in landscape. Marking this as won't fix. The new tab switcher will look much nicer because it has a more square-ish aspect ratio for the snapshot.

Can we close this bug once the problem is fixed with the new tab switcher? Current UI does not look good where logo is shifted to the left. Also Safari does not have this problem.

What's the point of keeping a bug assigned if we have no intention of fixing it? I'd rather not give the false impression that I'm planning to work on it when I'm consumed in building the new tab switcher.

The reported problem will not exist in the new UI, which will be rolled out later this year. We do not plan to make any changes to the current UI. |
