Issue descriptionChrome Version: 66.0.3350.0 (Official Build) 2b1109ab0cd74dabb255f79029326f1ddbae6349-refs/heads/master@{#537342}(64 bit) OS: Windows(7,8,8.1,10) , Linux(14.04 LTS) and Mac(10.12.6 , 10.13.1 , 10.13.4) OS URL: https://github.com/orbitbot/chrome-extensions-examples/tree/master/proxy_configuration Pre-Condition:- 1.Download and extract zip file from the above given URL. 2.Install unpacked 'Proxy Configuration' extension from chrome://extension and allow it in incognito mode Steps to reproduce: 1.Launch Chrome, click on extension icon in omnibox and select “Your proxy supports automatic configuration” option. 2.Enter PAC file: http://www.corp.google.com/~vclarke/proxy/wpad.dat and Save proxy setting. 3.Relaunch chrome, visit any HTTP or HTTPS site and observe. Actual Result: Unable to navigate to any website after installing ‘Proxy Configuration’ extension. Expected Result: Should be able to navigate to any website after installing ‘Proxy Configuration’ extension. This is Non-regression issue seen from ‘M-60’ build #60.0.3072.0 NOTE: Issue is also seen on M-64 Stable (build #64.0.3282.167),M-65 Beta (build # 65.0.3325.73) , Dev M-66 (build #66.0.3346.8).

This is probably an issue with the extension itself. In case it's not, please file a bug detailing how the extensions platform is not working as intended. |
