hmmm, I haven't seen anything with 66.0.3354.0, but it returned on S7/Android 7 with 66.0.3355.0 (Pixel / Android 8.1 works fine so far)

I suspect some memory handling/issue in my case - it's better when I have less apps in background

Unable to repro on canary (66.0.3356.0) with Nexus 5X. Doesn't look like issue 811486 either. If the device is memory constrained it may simply be taking a long time with image decodes or something? I don't see any evidence that this is RLS related so I am decoupling it from issue 417782 .

Nexus / Pixel devices seems to behave sometimes differently than Samsung. I don't have replication steps, but me it was looking like browser was refreshing (or not) big rectangles instead of single elements.

I'm seeing what looks like the same issue in Linux 66.0.3350.0 (dev) (on amazon.ca) though it seems I can't try turning off RLS until https://crrev.com/c/929662 makes it into dev. I'll check again once dev channel updates. It definitely looks like a paint/invalidation issue.
