We have been receiving vague reports that compilation time for WebAssembly apps on OSX is noticeably slower than on equivalent hardware on Windows / Linux.

We should figure out how to investigate this.

The general speculation is that this relates to fewer background jobs being available to wasm compilation. But this is unconfirmed.

A sample payload would be helpful.
