CRD host not showing up in account

Reported by yoshi24...@gmail.com, Feb 16 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9901.77.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3202.97 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Basically, just accessing CRD in general.

What is the expected behavior?
My CRD host should show up in my list of computers.

What went wrong?
This used to be working before I installed the Windows 10 feature update it kept prompting me to install. I installed it about a week ago.

I tried to access my CRD from my mobile device, but the host says offline, even when I'm using my host computer at the same time.

I've already uninstalled CRD Host and reinstalled it, and it did pop up as offline when I reinstalled it, then it worked for 8-16 hours then it went offline again. I just don't know what is happening.

Did this work before? Yes

Chrome version: 62.0.3202.97  Channel: stable
OS Version: 10
Flash Version:

By CRD, do you mean Chrome Remote Desktop?
Yes, I do.

Thanks for the confirmation!
Uninstalling and reinstalling the host component will not cause it come back online--you'll need to run the app on the host computer and set it up again. If you've already done that and the host is still dropping offline then we'll need host logs to debug. To get them:

* Run cmd.exe elevated: right-click on cmd.exe shortcut and choose "Run as administrator".
* Run the following command:

logman create trace -ets "chromoting" -p {2db51ca1-4fd8-4b88-b5a2-fb8606b66b02} 0xffffffff 5 -o %TEMP%\chromoting.etl

* Set up the host again and wait for it to drop offline.
* Run the following command:

logman stop -ets "chromoting"

* Send us %TEMP%\chromoting.etl. If it's too large to attach, please upload it to Google Drive and share it with me.

Ok will do. I will probably send that tomorrow or very early Sunday. Please keep in note that I will be on vacation from Sunday to Wednesday, so will not be able to access my computer then.

Adding Needs-Feedback label as user at comment#6 is yet to provide the artefacts asked in comment #5.

Thanks...!!
Seems to be working fine now. Don't know what happened, but its working now. Sorry about that. If it happens again, I will do the same thing you told me to do in Comment 5.
