Google Earth in tablet mode keeps bringing up the virtual keyboard |

In the case of slides, it appears that most of the page is contenteditable. It looks like it's for capturing focus/blur events, but not exactly sure why it's needed.

Oh apparently there's already a bug for slides: crbug.com/673125. The contenteditable is being used to capture events like copy & paste.

For Google Earth, the gesture event that's triggering the VK is coming from the nacl plugin in [1]. Apparently the plugin's input type is considered to be 'text', probably because it wants to listen for key presses like arrow keys and '/'.
