No mouse pointer appears from the recent update

Chrome Version: 64.0.3282.134
OS: Chrome OS (on SAMUS)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Boot and logon
(2) No mouse pointer, even after touching and moving on the trackpad
(3) Right click shows a pointer temporarily, but can not move, and disappears soon.

Using an external USB mouse works. So the problem exists around the trackpad support.

Looks working fine today, might be an intermittent hardware issue, or depending on a field trial.
