Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: Reproduction on my machine is achievable ever time: 1. Start Chrome 2. Immediately notice slow and sluggish behavior (start page takes very long to render completely, opening new tabs stutters, etc.) What is the expected behavior? Application should behave responsive and without lag. What went wrong? Chrome behaves slow. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 64.0.3282.140 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: 64_140_win) Revision a06bc1d5e8e285c70078802de990c1719ccc75e8-refs/branch-heads/3282@{#631} Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0 I would appreciate any troubleshooting tips that could be shared.

Thanks for filing the issue!! Unable to reproduce this issue on reported version 64.0.3282.140 using Windows 7. Opened Chrome, chrome://welcome page and other tabs opened without any delay. @Reporter: Please check the video and let us if we miss anything.Also please provide chrome://gpu details of your machine where issue is reproducible, and also could you please let us know other browser behaviors. This would help in better triaging of the issue. Thanks!

Sindhu, I'm not expecting that a replication will be possible by just opening up the Chrome. I'm under impression that some part of my setup is causing or helping the issue to occur. Nevertheless, the chrome://gpu output is attached. Would be good if you could share any troubleshooting steps I could try out.

@Reporter: Could you please check the same in a fresh profile i.e., by creating a new person with out any apps and extensions. As the Latest stable has moved to M65 you can also check the issue by downloading the latest chrome version from the below provided link. https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel Attaching the GPU details of the machine our machine in which the issue has been checked. Please write back with the new behaviour. Thanks!
