Reported by jidanni@gmail.com, Feb 11 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.119 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. In settings, check Preserve Log
2. Close the settings window
3. Reopen it

What is the expected behavior?
Preserve Log still checked

What went wrong?
Preserve Log not checked

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 64.0.3282.119  Channel: n/a
OS Version:
Flash Version:

Other settings are remembered, just not Preserve Log.

Maybe there should be a [Save] button added at bottom.

I'm also unable to reproduce. If checking Preserve log isn't persisting, could you please try to send us a screencast to help investigate?

With a fresh Linux account, do
$ chromium
CTRL+SHIFT+I
F1 (<--Don't forget this step)
Under "Network" click "Preserve log".
Now close the browser. Now do again
$ chromium
CTRL+SHIFT+I
F1

You will observe the "Preserve log" box is now unchecked.

Summary: DevTools: Network's "Preserve Log" not preserved (was: "Preserve Log" not preserved)
Oh! I was looking at the 'Preserve log' option under the Console category, not the Network setting. Thanks for clarifying, I'll take a look.

This makes debugging anything that navigates very annoying since you have to think about re-enabling "Preserve Log" every time you open the dev tools window.
Running Chrome for mac version 71.0.3578.98 and seeing this. Probably one of the most frustrating issues I deal with in Chrome right now. Can't even count how many times I've had to restart a set of steps because this setting doesn't persist.

Able to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 17.10 on the build without Fix 73.0.3666.0 and the issue is fixed on the latest M-73 build 73.0.3674.0.

1. Launched Chrome and hit CTRL+SHIFT+I to open Devtools.
2. Hit F1 button and checked "Preserve log" under Network.
3. Closed the browser and relaunched the browser.
4. Again hit CTRL+SHIFT+I and F1 and can observe that the Preserve log is checked.
Attached is the screen cast for reference.

Hence adding TE verified labels as the fix is working as intended.

Thanks..
