Passkit file is added to passbook even after canceling the installation |

Issue descriptionApp Version: 65.0.3325.53 beta iOS Version: 11.3 beta 2 Device: iPhone 8 Plus URL : https://www.passsource.com Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch iOS Chrome 2. Navigate to www.passsource.com 3. Tap on ‘Create’ 4. Choose any one of free templates available to create a pass. (ex. Ambetter ID Card) 5. Tap on ‘Register’ 6. Tap on ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ 7. Tap on ‘Add’ 8. Go to Apple Wallet and make sure pass is added 9. Tap on ‘i’ icon in the pass 10. Tap on ‘Remove Pass’ 11. Launch Chrome 12. Tap on ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ 13. Tap on ‘Cancel’ 14. Again, Go to Apple Wallet & wait for a while Observed results: Adds pass to apple wallet even after canceling the installation Expected results: Passes shouldn’t be added to Passbook, tapping on Cancel Number of times you were able to reproduce: 3/5 Bug reproducible after clean install: Yes Bug reproducible after clearing cache and cookies: Yes Bug reproducible on Chrome Mobile on Android: NA Bug reproducible on Safari/Firefox: Firefox: NA, Safari: No Bug reproducible on current stable build : M64, No Bug reproducible on the current beta channel build :M65, Yes Type-bug-regression? @Eugene, This issue is not consistent. I could reproduce this issue only on 11.3 device as of now.

I could not reproduce this bug with 5 tries. Since this is a system bug (Chrome only presents ‘Add to Apple Wallet’ dialog), there is no good way to demonstrate this issue to Apple and file radar. I think this regressed because Chrome now implements addPassesViewControllerDidFinish:, which was not the case in M64. The bug is minor, and should not block the release.

Is this issue reproducible on iOS 12? FWIW, I was not able to reproduce on iOS 11 too.

Tested in: App Version: 70.0.3538.38 beta Devices: iPhoneX, iPhone 8 Plus iOS Versions: 12.0, 12.1 beta 1 Issue is not reproducible. Passkit file is not added to passbook on cancelling the installation.

Thanks! Even if the bug is reproducible on iOS 11, it's system bug and the fix will not be backported by Apple. |
