jeckferson@ Thanks for the issue. Tested this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 on the latest Stable 64.0.3282.140 and Dev 65.0.3325.51 and unable to reproduce the issue. On selecting a image -> right click -> save image as -> Can see that the image is saved in .jpeg format. Cannot observe filename extension as .bin while saving any image. As this issue was reported on Arch linux, requesting someone from Inhouse team to look into this issue and help in further triaging. Thanks..

Does anyone use Chromium on KDE? It is what the bug is about. KDE file picker is culprit in question. I will request for comment in Arch forum.

This is fixed in M66, which sadly will still take a while to reach the stable channel. The commit from bug 752375 should be easy to cherry-pick to M64 and M65 though.

Issue is fixed as of now. Only one thing. Filter should be default to whatever extension the the file is download to. If I download jpeg, it default should be to jpeg instead of unknown. Check the attachment above. |
