open an extension with an iFrame clears the console

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.140 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open a website and open the development tools and open the console tab (Preserve log: disabled)
2. open a extension that injects an iFrame (Google Keep Chrome Extension)
3. the console is empty after the iFrame was loaded

What is the expected behavior?
to keep the console output of the parent window

What went wrong?
When you go to a website and open the development tools console, you will see at first the output of the website (note: the preserve log is disabled).  Now when you open a extension (in my case it was Google Keep Chrome Extension) the console is cleared, after the iFrame was loaded.

Did this work before? Yes Chrome 63.x

Chrome version: 64.0.3282.140  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.13.3
Flash Version: 

i tried the same on chrome v63.x and the console log was not cleared with the same settings.

Able to reproduce this issue on reported version 64.0.3282.140, latest dev 65.0.3325.51 and latest canary 66.0.3343.0 using Windows 10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.13.3with steps mentioned in comment#0. i.e; Console clears after clicking on keep extension.

Good Build: 64.0.3282.7
Bad Build: 64.0.3282.71

Unable to perform per-revision bisect as this issue is broken in branch builds.Hence assigning from manual changelog
