On my Linux machine opening a select box with an option field that contains 4500+ (ish) characters causes my machine to crash.

On my colleagues machine it renders a copy of the browser window he clicked the select box in.

Both machines are Linux Mint with Chrome versions 67.0.3396.79 (Official Build) (64-bit)
