kinoseed@ -- Could you please share the screencast of the issue for the better understanding along with the device details.

Tested on Pixel Android 8.1.0 using the reported Chrome #64.0.3282.137 and below are the observations by following the steps:

1. Launch Chrome and navigated to the URL: https://kinoseed.com
2. From Chrome menu, tap on "Add to Home" button.
3. Tap on the shortcut created on Device home screen, application is opened in full screen.
4. Swipe the screen up (as in portrait mode direction), on the system menu, WiFi, battery logos, time, back, home buttons are displayed for couple of seconds.
5. The same happens after adding the images upon launching application from Home screen.

Same behavior is observed in M-63 builds as well.

Please let us know if we have missed anything.

Note: In FireFox mobile version, Add to Home option is not available.

Thanks in advance!

MI 5X MIUI 9.2.1.0 / Android version 7.1.2

At step 4 of your test - "swipe *down*" here shows the bar you describe - with a black (from what I can say - non transparent) background for the bar, and as you describe, in a few seconds - it "pulls up" and disappears.
(see attached image)

Repeating step 4 - shows the bar with no background - fully transparent, and as before - it "pulls up" and disappears in a few seconds.
(see attached image)

At step 5 (loading an image) - shows the behavior of the "repeated step 4" - where a bar with transparent background is shown.

At step 5 - the bar does not always disappear, and on occasions stays there, until you press it, and only then it "pulls up".

I may have missed an update, but this is something that started happening recently. I'm not sure how to find information, about which version was used before my last update.

Recording screencast is not something I've done before, not sure which app is recommended for that either, but if you think it will make a difference, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Note: Firefox mobile version has "Add to Home" option when you press the "house with a + sign". After a file-load it does not show the bar at all (which I think is better UX), and when you "swipe down" it shows the bar with semi-transparent background. (see attached image)

Actions after loading app:
1) swipe down (shows black bar, disappears in a few seconds)
2) swipe down again (shows transparent bar, disappears in a few seconds)
3) load image (shows transparent bar, which stays permanently)
4) performing a few image manipulations for the test
5) pressing on transparent bar (which makes it disappear)

Unable to provide bisect using Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 as the device is having issues in installing earlier builds. Requesting MTV team to triage the issue further.

Thanks in advance!
