ChromeVox: We should build in more ChromeVox tips/hints, for example, when the verbalization of the item stops we could wait a few seconds and add extra hints as to how to further interact, or the main region of the page where the user is located for orientation benefits. An example of a hint that is much needed is when you are using linear navigation and move from the toolbar to the main content. Another that is super important is when you are on the home screen of the Chromebook with no tabs open and you try to press Search + Right to move around and can’t — here we need to verbalize something helpful, like press Ctrl + T to open a new Chrome tab, press Alt + Shift + L to jump to the launcher, etc. A third set we need are navigational hints is in the ChromeVox menus. We heard feedback that some users are trying to use Search + Right to navigate through and are getting confused. We need to make this super clear that you use the up/down arrow to read the menu list items, the right/left arrows to change menus, enter to activate, escape to close. Let's brainstorm the specific list of hints and how to do this together.
