Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.140 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: Visit https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=784493#c14 What is the expected behavior? Traditional underlines with high readability What went wrong? Very low readability of underlined text in every latin wariting system since Chrome 64. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 64.0.3282.140 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Maybe current setting of text-decoration-skip-ink is eye-candy and can by used for good, but it makes descenders very disturbing and hard to read. This is a request for rolling back the default text-decoration-skip-ink (make it like in Chrome 63) for at least latin based languages.

I agree that we should revert this and fix all the issues with poor underlines before relanding.
