latest Chrome removed home button on Vodafone smart V8

Issue descriptionDevice name: Vodafone Smart V8 From "Settings > About Chrome" Application version: 64.0.3282.137 Operating system:Android 7.1.1 URLs (if applicable): Steps to reproduce: (1)Open chrome (2) (3) Expected result: The left hand side of the address bar used to have a house symbol that would take the browser to the set home site. Actual result: The address bar, tabs and three dot menu button take up the full screen width in both portrait and landscape mode. Home button is missing. There is also no option in the setting fro chrome to add a home page any more.

Tested the issue in Android and not able to reproduce the issue. Steps Followed: 1. Launch Chrome. 2. Observed that there is Home button displayed adjacent to Omnibox on the left side. Chrome versions tested: 64.0.3282.137(Stable) OS: Android 7.0.0 Android Devices: SM-J710F/NRD90M ecnal2u@ -- Could you please let us know if we have missed anything. Could you please make sure that "Home Page" is set to "On" in Chrome Settings. Thanks in advance.

Even the switch to add a home button in the settings is gone. See attached pic. I even uninstalled chrome then reinstalled it. Same issue. My wife has a Vodafone N8 on the same version of chrome but does not have this issue. It may be hardware dependant?

Two pics attached. One is the screen shot of the settings on the V8 phone. Note that the last of the basic settings is ' save passwords'. This is the phone with the issue of no home screen button on the address bar. The second is a photo of the settings of a N8 phone. The last basic setting on this one is 'home' screen's. Same version of chrome, but this one works.
