For general instructions please consult this article https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7349337?hl=en As for the expected size - a few megabytes will suffice in all cases. A fresh profile only uses a few kilobytes in it's roaming representation and one with thousands of bookmarks, autofill and history can grow a few megabytes in size but the average profile we have observed is lass than a megabyte.
