Exiting fullscreen-in-tab can leave top of Vimeo video cut off |
|||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 65.0.3325.18 MR: 6518.129.0.0 OS: Mac This is a semi-reliable repro using the following steps. Note that media remoting was on and may or may not be a part of the repro. What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Go to a Vimeo video in Chrome and cast the tab to a Chromecast device. e.g. https://vimeo.com/193381596 (2) Once the tab is being mirrored on the Chromecast device, click on the fullscreen button in the video player. (3) The fullscreen-in-tab feature is triggered. (4) resize the browser window horizontally. (enlarge, shrink, I'm not sure which triggers it) (5) Click on the fullscreen button in the video player to exit fullscreen-in-tab. What is the expected result? Part of the top of the video should not be hidden. What happens instead? A portion of the top of the video is hidden / cut off. Even if you scroll all the way up on the page, the top of the video is still hidden. It is impossible to see the heart icon on the player. I could not repro this on abc.com or youtube.com videos. But it happens intermittently so I can't be 100% sure it wouldn't.

No repro on linux. Will check on Mac tomorrow. dbbrooks@: Is this issue Mac only? Do you also see this if media remoting is disabled?

Just confirmed with dbbrooks@. The issue is not stably reproed. So far only seen on Mac with vimeo videos. Seems not related to media remoting and can happen for normal tab mirroring when media remoting is disabled. Refreshing the page can fix the issue. Might be related to the Fullscreen-in-tab UI on Mac. It can be reproed even after mirroring ends when the fs-in-tab is still on due to this bug ( crbug.com/704797 ).

amp@: This might be related to the FS-in-tab issue on Mac you are currently working on.

Unable to repro on Chrome 68.0.3440.17 for Linux. Is this Mac-specific?

I was just able to repro it on Win and Linux 69.0.3452.0. It just takes a few times to trigger.
