Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 64.0.3282.119 and on the latest canary 66.0.3334.0 using windows 10 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Created few bookmarks 3. Loaded a sample .html file to the browser 3. Closed the browser 4. Restarted the machine and launched chrome. We observed the placement of bookmarks are at the same place without being rearranged. @Reporter: Could you please let us know if we have missed any steps while reproducing the issue. And please confirm on point no.3 in comment#0, loading any .html file causes the issue or any specific file. Any further inputs from your end may help us to triage the issue in a better way. Thanks!

I can't reproduce this error either. After the update to Version 64.0.3282.119, my bookmarks have been rearranged. I think something went wrong with the sync service and the problem solved on its own. I installed the latest beta version and had the same issue, but now it seems fine.

ok, I installed the chrome beta version and the sync-process is clearly broken for me, like the stable version. Now I have a dublicate bookmark bar and bookmarks with folder names and without icons. Some bookmarks were deleted ages ago and now spawning again in some weird fashion. I attached a screenshot.

In the chrome canary version I can watch live that old bookmarks where added again.

So, I manually resync all of my 4 devices ( Win 7 Desktop Pc, Mac, Ipad and iPhone) deleted all bookmarks of all my two browsers (safari, chrome), then I logged out of chrome, except on my desktop. Now every device has the same bookmarks. Don't know what causes this chaos after I updated to Chrome 64.0.3282.119 on my desktop.

Checked the issue as per comment#9 by reporter, Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 64.0.3282.119 and on the latest canary 66.0.3335.0 using Windows 10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.13.1 . As the issue is seen from M60(60.0.3072.0) considering it as non-regression and marking it as Untriaged. Hence removing Needs-Bisect label. Note: Issue is reproducible as per comment#9(i.e., bookmarks are seen even after logging out of our account), but we are unable to see any chrome rearrangement in bookmarks. Requesting someone from UI>Browser>Bookmarks team to have a look into this issue. Thanks!

At first it looks for me like a rearrangement, but now it seems more likely that chrome loaded simply wrong bookmarks.
