Cannot rename a file or directory in ext4 removable drive |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 66.0.3333.0 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Format a USB drive with ext4 format. (2) Open t with Files app. (3) Create a new folder (4) Right-click the new folder and try to rename it. What is the expected result? "rename" command is available. What happens instead? "rename" command is grayed out. I confirmed this was not happening on Chrome version 63.

Note: I think this happens because it wrongly triggers the condition check for renaming a volume label, despite it's actually renaming a folder under it.

I found something confirming your point: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/ui/file_manager/file_manager/foreground/js/file_manager_commands.js?l=1004
