Chrome Remote Desktop shows White Screen when connected to remote computer

Issue description
Chrome Version : 66.0.3334.0
OS Version: 10.0

Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari: N/A
Firefox: N/A
IE/Edge: N/A
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install and run chrome remote desktop
2. Attempt to connect to remote PC, enter 6 digit PIN. Will be connected to remote computer.
3. Normally lock screen or desktop of remotely controlled computer will show but instead there is a white screen. However mouse pointer changes when moving around the screen so can interact but don't know what is being clicked...
What is the expected result?
- Supposed to be able to control remote computer as would be done in stable Chrome version
What happens instead of that?
- white screen with mouse pointer changing, but no
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
- this problem does not happen in the most stable version of chrome (as of this writing). Seems to be isolated to Canary only.
- this problem only started happening a couple weeks ago. Chrome remote desktop worked fine in Canary for a while.
