Undo command not working

Reported by donald.h...@gmail.com, Jan 27 2018

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Launch Chrome
2. Open a google doc or sheet and type anything
3. press Command+Z (or select Edit => Undo Typing from menu bar)

What is the expected behavior?
Typed content from step 2 is undone !

What went wrong?
A "Loading speech" dialogue and an audibly voice saying "please select some text" occurs

Did this work before? Yes No idea

Chrome version: 63.0.3239.132 Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 28.0 r0

In step 3. Although the google docs menu (Edit => Undo) works, the top (Chrome) menu bar does NOT work. Unfortunately, the keyboard shortcuts get captured by Chrome.
Did this work before?
>> Yes. I've been using this, and other, keyboard shortcuts in Chrome since it's inception.

I'm surprised this wasn't reported earlier. Please let me know if you need any clarification.

It seems like there might be some extension that's capturing Undo and causing this behavior. Can you try

1) Opening an incognito window and seeing if the issue persists there
2) Launching Chrome user a fresh profile, e.g. run this command from the terminal:
"""
/Applications/Google\ Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome --user-data-dir=/tmp/a1
"""
and see if the issue still persists?
I tried the fresh profile, and the keyboard shortcut worked. I figured out
which extension was causing the problem and deleted it. Thanks. This is
resolved.
