Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/64.0.3282.119 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open chrome://settings or other chrome:// Material Design pages. 2. Observe. What is the expected behavior? It should use system-ui for all its content in unity with the rest of the browser’s UI. What went wrong? <body>’s `font-face` lists `Roboto, system-ui, sans-serif` which means the Roboto font always gets used, since it is included with Chrome. Some dialogs have `-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased` which make them look out of place. Top right username is always displayed in Arial. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 64.0.3282.119 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.3 Flash Version:

As a side note, material design apps from Google on iOS always use system-ui font too.

WebUI typograhpy has been recently updated as part of issue 849857 (it still uses Roboto though). This is intentional (UX team choice) and I don't expect it to change soon. |
