Network info: Wifi

Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add
the label below).

Steps To Reproduce:
(1) Login to device
(2) Start playing any video from youtube/dailymotion
(3) observe audio

Expected Result:

How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to
reproduce?)
Observed many times. Required to shutdown the system and restart/login again to repo issue.

What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is
it?

With "Observed many times." you meant as you see beginning of a playback silent then becoming audible, and once you start another playback it starts silent again, etc. all in one user session, right?
Can you post a video of the observations?
Yes, The beginning of playback is silent and after a while audio is coming. This is observed after rebooting the system or signout and signin.

Video started playing at at 6th sec but audio is coming from 16th sec.

suspend/resume + local video playback seems to reproduce 100% for the first attempt to play.

Summary: Veyron_Jaq: Audio is silent for several seconds on first playback after reboot, suspend/resume or re-sign-in. (was: Veyron_Jaq: No audio observed after rebooting system)
Is this a regression ?
There are no recent change in rockchip audio driver on 3.14 kernel for a year.
I don't repro this bug on my LINK device with chrome 64.0.3282.134 build.

The issue seems (Veyron_)Jaq ONLY related.
After restarting or resume from suspend there is no sound for a while(at lest few seconds) Observed for playing either video w/h audio, or just audio (from local audio file too). Reproduced with youtube/dailymotion/local media player.

add dale, any idea top of your head?
Media team doesn't have Jaq device to verify.
avkodipelli@, do you still repro this bug?

Able to repo issue on 66.0.3359.52/10452.24.0.
Repo steps:
-- Start playing local video in browser
-- Shutdown device while video is playing
-- Switch on device and login
-- Browser opens and video playback started
-- Observe video but no audio for few seconds

avkodipelli@, can you provide chrome://media-internal log?
Seems like cras audio issue and not related to general media pipeline.

I checked the log in #17.
There was no suspicious error messages of CRAS or kernel driver.

Louis, could you please identify whether this is an issue in kernel ?
At least we need to make sure PCM status is in RUNNING state.

If driver does not work as expected, we will need Rockchip's help (+Xing from Rockchip).

Thanks!

ytsao@ is arranging for a device to be sent over from MTV (thanks!) - will update once I've got that and been able to reproduce
There are no jaq devices in TPE or MTV, so not sure how to reproduce this; has anyone been able to reproduce on a different veyron board?
I've got a mighty, but to flash it doesn't have a working OS, or USB boot enabled, so seems like I will need to mess around with a servo board to get it working - I haven't done this before so guess it will take a while.

Before I get into that - kalin / avkodipelli - do you have a working mighty you could check quickly to see if it's reproducible there? thanks!
Not able to reproduce this issue on M66 and M67 builds.

Dut tested : Veyron_Jaq
Builds tested: M67_10575.0.0 and M66_10452.54.0
Labels: M-67
Able to repo issue as per #17 repo steps on 10575.0.0, 67.0.3390.0 on jaq device.

Not reproduced issue on other veyron device(mighty device) for same repo steps and same build.

Feedback for jaq: https://listnr.corp.google.com/report/85323773967
Taken 2 more Jaq devices from other teams and verifying to check whether it's a device specific issue.
Unable repo issue on other Jaq devices. Not sure what makes special for my device. I'll try to narrow down the issue.
