Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create an Android project with target API 26 (attached) 2. Add a view (e.g. a linearlayout) with a background color 3. Add an webview to the view and load the attached page from domain1. See that the background is transparent 4. Load the attached page from domain2. See that the background is now white and non-transparent What is the expected behavior? The webview should keep it's transparency What went wrong? The transparent color of the webview is now white instead of transparent Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? Yes sure. Screencast attached and a compiled test app for easier testing. The presumed bug is found in the Android Chrome webview component, however I'm not able to see whether the bug is in the Chrome browser app on Android, since it doesn't have a transparent background. The red color in the test app is the native color of the view container holding the webview component.
