New Tab Page on iOS Chrome is loaded with disgusting social media buttons and news garbage

Device Type: iPhone 6

Behavior in Safari (if applicable): No social media buttons or news garbage, just links to search engines


Steps to reproduce:
(1) Open Chrome for iOS.
(2) Open your eyes.
(3) Rush to the bathroom to vomit.

Expected result:
There are no disgusting social media buttons or news on the new tab page (or anywhere else in the browser itself).

Actual result:
The New Tab Page is loaded with disgusting social media buttons and news. Furthermore, you can't even add your own custom entries to the New Tab Page, unlike Safari.

I have already uninstalled Chrome for iOS as it is only worse than Safari - no benefit of keeping it.

Thanks for the feedback, though the tone here isn't constructive. 

You can disable the article suggestions in Settings, it's a top level switch in M64 which was released yesterday. Then you never have to see them again.

Closing since this isn't an actionable issue; it's more appropriate for the forums.
